Welcome
It is a pleasure to introduce our Sixth Form Gŵyr | Bryn Tawe Partnership Prospectus.
We would encourage you to read it thoroughly as you contemplate your options for the next two years. We are as aware of our importance as 11-18 schools, where pupils can return to the Sixth Form in the knowledge that the pastoral support which has sustained them thus far will continue to support them for the next two years.
As pupils return to the sixth form we will continue to ensure that they fulfil their potential. Continue to meet the highest standards by building on the relationships that have developed over the years. The schools have robust procedures in place that ensure that parents are contacted if work is not completed, we will ensure that no students go through the net, that is our strength.
The recent success of the Partnership’s students in gaining places at the top Universities including Oxbridge reflects the highest academic standards that exist across both schools. Every student progressed to University, An Apprenticeship or employment over the last years.
The Partnership means that you can capitalise on an even greater choice of courses and benefit from a vast array of resources and a high level of expertise. There will also be an exciting opportunity for you to develop further within the valuable Welsh Baccalaureate qualification.
As well as preparing you to progress to college, university or to employment the Gŵyr | Bryn Tawe Sixth Form Partnership will provide you with a unique opportunity to socialise with old and new friends and to reap the benefits of a wealth of activities outside the classroom. But even more significantly, you can continue with your Welsh medium studies and profit from contributing to a bilingual community in the City and County of Swansea and beyond.
