Pam astudio Ffrangeg?
• Astudio un o brif ieithoedd Ewrop a’r byd ar lefel uwch.
• Ennill hyder a datblygu’n berson mwy cyflawn wrth
ddeall a mwynhau diwylliannau eraill.
• Sicrhau cyfuniad cadarn a chytbwys o bynciau ar draws
y cwricwlwm.
• Ennill sgil a chymhwyster a fydd yn ehangu’r cyfleoedd
gyrfaol mewn meysydd diri gan gynnwys busnes, peirianneg, marchnata, gwyddoniaeth, twristiaeth, y cyfryngau, technoleg.
• Gallu cyfathrebu â phobl ar hyd y byd - mae Ffrangeg yn iaith swyddogol mewn mwy na 40 o wledydd.
• Codi safon ieithyddol y myfyrwyr a datblygu’r gallu i droi at ieithoedd eraill.
• Astudio neu deithio’n rhwydd a byw tramor am gyfnod.
• Meddu ar ddisgyblaeth
Beth yw cynnwys y cwrs?
Astudir themâu sydd o ddiddordeb i bobl ifanc megis, teulu, perthnasoedd, addysg a chyflogaeth. Hefyd anelir i ddatblygu ymwybyddiaeth y myfyrwyr mewn gwledydd a chymunedau Ffrangeg eu hiaith, yn ogystal â materion cymdeithasol megis mudo ac hunaniaeth ddiwylliannol, gwahaniaethu ac amrywiaeth. Astudir hefyd Ffrainc 1940- 1950, a bydd cyfle am ymchwiliad unigol ar ddewis y myfyriwr. Defnyddir amrywiaeth o ddulliau dysgu gyda phwyslais ar waith llafar a defnydd cyfryngol cyfredol. Bydd disgyblion yn cael eu hannog i ddatblygu cysylltiadau gyda phartneriaid mewn gwlad lle y siaredir Ffrangeg. Bydd cyfle hefyd i fynychu Cwrs Iaith Uwch yn Normandi. Cynigir y cyfle i ddisgyblion gynorthwyo neu redeg gweithgareddau allgyrsiol megis clwb ffilmiau tramor a cheir cyfle i gynorthwyo disgyblion iau mewn gwersi iaith.
Why study French?
• Study one of the world’s main languages at a higher level.
• Gain confidence and develop into a more rounded
individual by understanding and enjoying other cultures.
• Ensure a strong and balanced combination of subjects
across the curriculum.
• Develop a skill which will extend career opportunities in
many fields including business, engineering, marketing,
science, tourism, the media and technology.
• Be able to travel with ease in over 40 countries where
French is spoken. Spend a period of time in the future studying or working abroad, now offered by many Universities regardless of degree.
• Raise the standard of a student’s own language and be able to learn other languages more quickly. Also, master an academic discipline that strengthens communication skills, thinking skills, and memory skills.
What is the course content?
In the course, themes of interest to young people will be studied, such as family, relationships, youth trends, education and employment. In addition, the course will develop the students’ knowledge of the French-speaking world and awareness of social issues, cultural identity, the arts in France and regional diversity. There is also an opportunity to study France 1940-1950, as well as a personal research project of the student’s own choice. Varied learning methods are used with an emphasis on oral work and the use of current media materials, film and literature. Students will be encouraged to develop links with partners in a French speaking country with a possible Language intensive course in Normandy. There will be an opportunity to attend extra-curricular activities, such as the film club and assisting younger pupils in language lessons and the weekly languages club.
