  Pam astudio Dylunio a Thechnoleg?
Cyffrous! Diddorol! Creadigol! Arloesol! Bydd y pwnc o ddiddordeb i amrywiaeth eang o fyfyrwyr oherwydd:
• Mae’r cwrs yn ddilyniant naturiol i’r rhai fu’n astudio TGAU Dylunio a Thechnoleg neu ddisgyblion o’r newydd.
• Disgwylir i fyfyrwyr sy’n dewis y cwrs ddangos dychymyg, dyfeisgarwch a pharodrwydd i weithio’n annibynnol.
• Gall y myfyrwyr sydd â diddordebau a dyheadau eraill elwa o’r sgiliau trosglwyddadwy cynhenid sy’n deillio o astudio DT.
• Mae’r cwrs yn cynnig cyfle unigryw yn y cwricwlwm i fyfyrwyr ddarganfod a datrys problemau trwy ddylunio a gwneud cynhyrchion mewn amrywiaeth eang o gyddestunau yn ymwneud â diddordebau personol.
• Mae’r cwrs yn paratoi myfyrwyr sy’n bwriadu dilyn cyrsiau Addysg Bellach neu yrfa mewn Dylunio Cynnyrch, Tecstilau, Pensaernïaeth, Ffasiwn, Peirianneg, Gweithgynhyrchu, Graffeg, Dylunio Tri Dimensiwn, Arddangosfeydd, CAD, Dylunio Mewnol, Gemwaith neu Dylunio Celfi, Prynwr i siopau, Marchnata neu’n Ddyfeisiwr.
• Gall myfyrwyr ddatblygu i fod yn brynwyr deallus sy’n gallu gwneud dewisiadau gwybodus.
Beth yw cynnwys y cwrs?
Defnyddir amrywiaeth o strategaethau dysgu er mwyn ymestyn sgiliau datrys problemau a sgiliau meddwl y myfyrwyr. Anogir myfyrwyr i ddatblygu a chynnal eu sgiliau dylunio a chynhyrchu a’u creadigedd ac arloesedd. Mae’n hanfodol hefyd bod myfyrwyr yn medru adnabod cyfyngiadau cynhyrchu a deall yr amrywiaeth o weithgareddau technolegol sy’n bodoli ynghyd â’r ddealltwriaeth o ymarferion diwydiannol a chynaliadwyedd. Mae’r cwrs yn hyrwyddo’r defnydd o dechnoleg gwybodaeth a chyfathrebu (TGaCh) er mwyn datblygu eu gallu o fewn y pwnc drwy ymchwilio, dylunio, cyflwyno data a gweithgynhyrchu defnyddiau. Ceir cyfleoedd i fynychu clybiau allgyrsiol a gwneud ymweliadau amrywiol gan gynnwys y Gwobrau Arloesedd, Caerdydd.

The subject will be of interest to a variety of students.
• The course is a natural progression for GCSE Design and Technology or even new students.
• Opportunities to show imagination, innovation and to work independently.
• Benefit from the many transferable skills inherent in the study of DT.
• An unique opportunity within the curriculum to discover and solve problems through designing and making products in a wide variety of contexts to do withyour personal interests.
• Higher Education courses or a career in: Product Design, Textiles, Architecture, Fashion, Engineering, Manufacturing, Graphics, Three-dimensional, Exhibition, CAD, Interior, Jewellery or Furniture design, Buyer for shops, Marketing or an Inventor.
• Develop as discerning consumers able to make informed choices.
What is the course content?
Students will enjoy learning how to use a variety of methods to expand their thinking skills independently or within a group. Problem solving strategies are used to further develop creativity and innovation as well as develop their essential knowledge and understanding of industrial practices, technologies and sustainability. The course promotes the use of ICT through research, CAD design, laser cutter manufacturing, presenting data and images. Students learn how to manage their time when completing their project work and also whilst attending extra curricular clubs. Visits to various related venues enhance the teaching, for example: the Innovation Awards, Cardiff.
